The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Production Assistant 1 in Bakersfield, CA to support the Production department with route loading, unloading, and daily transport tasks. This non-exempt role requires a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

You will follow daily routing directions, manage time to complete routes, and ensure safety procedures are followed. The job emphasizes courteous customer service and adherence to DOT regulations, with on-the-ground duties and

Competenze

High School diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license.
Clean driving record.
Strong time management and customer service skills.
Ability to operate electronic equipment used for daily route information.
Strong oral and written communication skills.

Mansioni

Follow daily routing directions and maintain route within the approved schedule.
Complete 100% of daily routes, unless approved by supervisor.
Load and unload trucks safely; assist with others as needed.
Handle donated material with proper safety procedures and PPE.
Train and supervise truck helper in a rehabilitation program and modeling good work habits.
Maintain Bag & Tag procedures as instructed.
Complete pre- and post-checks daily and report any exceptions to the supervisor.
Provide courteous customer service and report donor problems to dispatch.
Report accidents and maintain safe driving records and DOT compliance.
Attend driver safety meetings and adhere to meal/rest break policies.
Perform other duties assigned by supervisor or director.
