Job summary

American Woodmark Corp. in West Virginia is seeking a Production Supervisor to coordinate the department's production activities, optimize resource use, and meet SQDC goals.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years manufacturing and supervisory experience, familiarity with material flows and inventory management, and strong teamwork and project management skills. An Engineering degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience; wood related preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of supervision experience; multiple department.
• Experience in material flows and inventory management; continuous improvement practices; and process analysis.
• Six Sigma training is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide feedback to providers related to meeting or exceeding expectations.
• Plan and coordinate department's activities to support SQDC targets, and meet and/or exceed client and/or customers' expectations.
• Actively participate on assigned teams and/or projects.
• Ensure assigned departments perform tasks as outlined in Job Instruction Breakdowns, Quality Specifications, and Standard Operating Practices.
• Supervise hourly employees in the assigned department and/or departments; interview, hire, train, and evaluate staff.
