Job summary

Qualifications

• 8+ years manufacturing experience; wood working related preferred.
• 8+ years supervision experience; multiple departments
• Experience in wood drying, machining, cabinet component manufacturing, material flows and inventory management; continuous improvement practices; and process analysis.
• Lean manufacturing experience.
• Six Sigma experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Actively lead organizational development for the production area.
• Coordinate communication between departments and shifts; foster client/provider relationships.
• Improve equipment uptime, capability and reliability via TPM and Six Sigma initiatives.
• Continuously evaluate plant processes to drive improvement and cost reduction.
• Plan and coordinate department activities to support SQDC targets.
• Lead Kaizen events and participate on project teams.
• Develop SOPs for material, equipment, and processes throughout finishing operations.
• Participate in hiring needs; oversee selection and training.
