Job summary

American Woodmark Corp. seeks an experienced production leader to direct plant operations and drive world-class manufacturing practices.

You will coordinate multi-department efforts, champion TPM and Six-Sigma initiatives, and align teams with the company vision to achieve SQDC targets and customer satisfaction. Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in manufacturing with supervision across multiple departments and a background in wood processing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of manufacturing experience; wood working related preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of supervision experience; multiple departments.
• Experience in wood drying, machining, cabinet component manufacturing, material flows and inventory management.
• Lean manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Actively lead organizational development efforts for production.
• Coordinate communication between departments and shifts.
• Improve equipment uptime and reliability through TPM and SEE program, and Six-Sigma methods.
• Continuously evaluate plant processes for continuous improvement and cost reduction.
• Plan and coordinate department activities to meet SQDC targets and customer expectations.
• Lead Kaizen events and participate in teams/projects.
• Develop SOPs for material, equipment and processes in finishing operations.
• Involve in hiring needs, selection and training processes.
• Provide leadership aligned with company vision and CITE principles.
