Job summary

Johns Manville in Milan, OH seeks a Production Superintendent to lead 24/7 manufacturing operations, drive safety and quality, and optimize performance across cost and productivity. You will mentor supervisors, manage labor and materials, and partner with engineering and maintenance to deliver operational excellence.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in management or engineering with 5+ years of leadership in manufacturing; SAP/ERP experience preferred; strong communication and teamwork are

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in management, engineering or relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills with a proven track record.
• Ability to diagnose and solve process issues in manufacturing.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience partnering with Plant Leadership team on strategy and execution.
• Knowledge of SAP or ERP systems and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations, product quality, and raw material management across multiple production lines.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate work activities to maximize equipment utilization and efficiency.
• Monitor metrics such as labor utilization, materials usage, downtime, and costs.
• Partner with plant leadership to drive continuous improvement and sustainable process enhancements.
• Identify and resolve manufacturing, process, and personnel challenges with corrective actions.
• Lead and develop Production Supervisors and teams, promoting safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and leadership to run production and solve problems.
• Support strategic goals and operational excellence with plant and corporate leadership.
• Coach and mentor employees, fostering accountability, engagement, and growth.
