Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana is seeking a Production Lead to oversee daily operations, drive garment production, and guide staff in a fast-paced retail setting. The role emphasizes maintaining a clean store and back room, and upholding safety standards across shifts.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to model professional behavior, manage time effectively, and ensure donations are processed and merchandised properly for the floor.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 6 months supervisory experience or 90 days in service industry preferred.
• Must read, write and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Reach production goals (minimum 110 garments per hour) with 90% quality.
• Ensure donations are processed and ready for the floor.
• Act as a positive role model for employees and trainees.
• Maintain a clean, presentable store environment and back room.
• Keep store safe, hazard-free, and clean (vacuum, mop, dust).
• Observe safety policies and ensure compliance by Production Associates.

Essential Functions:Responsibilities:

• Toreachproductiongoalguidelines(minimumof110garmentsperhourwitha minimum quality standard of 90%).
• Toensureproperproductionofdonationsgetprocessedandreadytoputonthestorefloor.
• Toactasapositiverolemodelforemployeesandtraineesinallaspectsofprofessionalperformance.
• Toproducedonatedgoodsinthebackroomadequately.Tocreateapositivepublic image of Goodwill through a clean store environment, attractive displays and presentable, personable personnel.
• Tomaintainsafeandappropriateconditions intheback-roomarea.
• Tokeepthestorecleanandhazardfreebyvacuuming,moppinganddusting, (including cleaning the bathrooms.)
• Toobservepersonnelandsafetypoliciesandprocedures.ToensurecompliancebyProductionAssociates.
• Tobeableto perform the jobduties oftheProductionAssociates.
• Toattendworkontheregularlyscheduledshiftsasassignedbythemanagerfortheweek.

Requirements:

• HighSchooldiplomaorGEDand6monthssupervisoryexperienceoraminimumof 90 days in the service industry.
• Mustbeabletoread,writeandcommunicateclearlyinEnglish.
• Priorworkexperience intheserviceindustrypreferred.
• MustsuccessfullycompleteRetailtraining.

Working Conditions:

Frequentphysicalexertion,frequentmovement,conditionedindoortemperatureswithoccasionalexposuretooutdoortemperaturesandweatherconditions. Alternate work schedule may include working at an attended donation center with no prior notice.
