Job summary

Sysco Corporation is seeking a Production Supervisor to plan, schedule, and direct the production operations team to meet productivity, safety, quality and cost goals. You will manage both direct and indirect labor, ensure adherence to SOPs, and drive lean initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen and Kanban.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Strong communication and MS Office skills.
• Experience with lean principles (5S, Kaizen, Kanban) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate and monitor daily activities and performance of production associates to ensure high productivity, quality, safety and adherence to policies.
• Direct, coordinate and monitor daily material handling activities for direct and indirect labor.
• Manage employee performance through motivation, delegation, development and coaching.
• Take corrective action as necessary per company policy.
• Lead staff meetings to communicate policy changes and gather improvement ideas.
• Participate in staff selection, performance and compensation evaluations.
• Evaluate business demand, prioritize and distribute daily work assignments.
• Establish line assignments and staffing based on priorities.
• Monitor work station assignments, rotations, breaks and overtime as needed.
• Meet production goals, quality and cost objectives.
• Monitor inventory with WMS in production and material areas.
• Review and record production documentation.
• Support lean initiatives using 5S, Kaizen and Kanban methods.
• Provide and maintain a safe work environment through SOPs and safety training.
• Coordinate with safety to conduct observations and incident investigations.
