Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Production Supervisor to plan, schedule and direct the production operations to meet productivity, safety, quality, delivery and cost goals. You will oversee both direct and indirect associates and coordinate material handling, implementing lean methods such as 5S, Kaizen and Kanban.

You will lead staffing, training and performance evaluations, ensure safety compliance, maintain inventory via WMS, and communicate policy changes across departments in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent.
• 3-5 years manufacturing experience.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business documents.
• Proficient in MS Office and warehouse software.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate and monitor daily activities in production.
• Manage performance through motivation, delegation and mentoring.
• Ensure safety, quality, delivery and cost goals.
• Lead staff selection and performance evaluations.
• Maintain inventory using WMS and monitor line staffing.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate policy changes.
