Job summary

Ultium Cells LLC in Warren, OH is seeking a Production Supervisor – Electrode, RND to lead a technical team in a highly automated lithium-ion battery manufacturing environment. The role focuses on continuous improvement, troubleshooting, and optimizing production methods to ensure high yield and productivity.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in complex mechanical assembly, tooling, and manufacturing equipment.
• 1–3 years industrial or manufacturing leadership - supervision experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong understanding of quality processes and implementation methods.
• Experience in lithium-ion battery manufacturing preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ industrial supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance for plant safety and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate activities of employees engaged in production or processing of goods.
• Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and reports to determine production requirements.
• Collaborate with leaders to coordinate operations within or between departments.
• Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
• Train team to inspect materials, products, or equipment and detect defects.
• Support employee training on equipment operations, safety procedures, and quality expectations.
• Facilitate team-based problem solving.
• Observe KPIs and monitor gauges and equipment performance to ensure standards.
• Confer with leadership to resolve workforce concerns and engagement.
• Interpret specifications, drawings, job orders, and policies for workers.
• Additional duties as assigned.
