Job summary

Ultium Cells LLC in Warren, OH is hiring an Equipment Tech Engineer for the assembly line. This full-time role focuses on engineering work to improve equipment, investigate issues, analyze production results, and support a highly automated manufacturing environment.

The role involves on-call support and interaction with internal/external customers and vendors, with a team-driven approach to ensure high yield and productivity across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Physics, Statistics, Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical or related), or similar preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and data-driven approach to manufacturing improvements.
• Experience with equipment maintenance, safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design, control, and provide modification and improvement of the equipment
• Trouble shooting and solving problems on the chronic errors/trouble
• Find root cause analysis and reporting of major errors
• Monitor and ensure running machines continuously to reduce breakdown time
• Co-creation of documentation of all machines—troubleshooting, work instructions, maintenance records
• Support for production and maintenance in solving technical problems
• Ensure compliance to safety and environmental regulations
• Direct and coordinate activities of production or maintenance personnel
• Read production charts and schedules to determine requirements
• Develop skills in mechanics/electrics/pneumatics and controls
• Implement strategies to improve equipment uptime and availability
• Additional duties as assigned
