Job summary

Ultium Cells LLC in Spring Hill, TN, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support continuous improvement and troubleshoot equipment in a highly automated plant.

The engineer will interface with internal and external customers, program Mitsubishi PLCs, and help optimize electrode process technology, with on-call support as needed. A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or automation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or associate degree in electrical engineering preferred or Automation (or related) required.
• 0 to 3 Years Industrial Controls Experience in manufacturing or automotive environment preferred.
• Exposure to controls, electrical systems design, automation, and manufacturing equipment; strong team-player.
• Proactive, resourceful with good communication skills; battery systems a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Program automation and controls systems using Mitsubishi PLCs.
• Create, monitor, and modify logic for design, testing, start-up, and troubleshooting.
• Integrate systems: Bar Code, RFID, Robot, Vision, Weigh Scale, Gas Sampling, etc.
• Work with internal/external customers and vendors to solve production issues.
• Additional duties as assigned.
