Job summary

Ultium Cells LLC in Warren, OH seeks a Production Supervisor for the electrode area on the night shift. The role focuses on leading a technical team to improve yield, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure safe, compliant operations in a highly automated plant.

The candidate should have 3–5 years in mechanical assembly and 1–3 years in supervisory roles, plus a relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience. Role includes on-call support and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years experience in complex mechanical assembly, tooling, and manufacturing equipment.
• 1-3 years industrial leadership - supervision experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of quality processes and implementation methods.
• Knowledge of electricity, electrical products, raw materials, and automated equipment; lithium-ion battery experience preferred.
• 3+ years of industrial experience with supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance for plant safety and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate activities of employees engaged in production or processing of goods.
• Read and analyze charts, work orders, schedules to determine production requirements.
• Collaborate with leaders to coordinate operations within or between departments.
• Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet goals.
• Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Train team on equipment operations, safety procedures and quality expectations.
• Facilitate team-based problem solving.
• Monitor indicators to ensure conformity to production standards.
• Resolve workforce concerns and support employee engagement.
• Interpret drawings, job orders, and company policies for workers.
• Other duties as assigned.
