Job summary

Ultium Cells LLC in Warren, OH, seeks a Production Planner to coordinate daily and weekly schedules, manage inventory levels, support purchasing activities, and help maintain efficient production flow to meet targets.

You will collaborate with production, engineering, maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure material availability, schedule adherence, and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing operations, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules for the Electrode Department to support targets and customer demand.
• Monitor production performance, inventory levels, manpower, and material flow to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate and track purchasing activities including PRs and POs, deliveries, and goods receipt status.
• Review purchasing transactions for accuracy and follow up on delays or discrepancies.
• Report purchasing concerns and material shortages to leadership for timely resolution.
• Support cost tracking and spending visibility with accurate purchasing and inventory records.
• Synchronize information flow between multiple logistics and purchasing systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support daily operations.
• Monitor inventory to prevent shortages or overstock.
• Assist with capacity planning, downtime coordination, and schedule adjustments.
• Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency and purchasing processes.
• Adhere to safety standards and procedures.
