Job summary

Ultium Cells LLC in Warren, OH seeks an experienced engineer to join a 12-hour night shift production team. The role focuses on continuous improvement, troubleshooting, and optimizing automated manufacturing processes to sustain high yield.

You will lead and train staff, analyze production data, collaborate with leaders, and interface with internal/external customers and vendors. A strong background in mechanical or industrial engineering and leadership is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years industrial experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of quality processes and implementation methods.
• Experience in lithium-ion battery manufacturing preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Ensure plant safety and environmental compliance.
• Coordinate activities of production employees across departments.
• Read charts, work orders, and schedules to determine production needs.
• Plan schedules and sequences to meet production goals.
• Inspect materials and equipment to detect defects.
• Train team on equipment operations, safety, and quality expectations.
• Facilitate team-based problem solving and monitor KPIs.
• Discuss workforce concerns with leadership and drive engagement.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and company policies for workers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
