Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead on the plant floor in Denison, IA. You will oversee the full production process, ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and guide a team to meet daily goals.

You will train and coach hourly staff, analyze yields and efficiency, and implement process improvements while maintaining peak equipment performance. Willingness to work long hours and weekends is needed; relocation package available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field is required.
• Experience leading training, coaching, or mentoring staff or managing a process/project.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production on the floor, ensure safety and quality standards.
• Lead a team of hourly production employees, train and coach to meet targets.
• Track yields and efficiency, identify improvements to reduce downtime and costs.
• Conduct daily safety inspections, audits, and adherence to HACCP/USDA.
• Communicate clearly across levels and drive continuous improvement.
