Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations on the plant floor, ensuring safety, quality, and timely achievement of production targets. You will lead and train a team of hourly workers, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate with managers to optimize workflows.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience, willingness to work long hours, and occasional travel up to 5% across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field plus 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading/training staff and managing processes or projects.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; ability to lead, coach and motivate teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead hourly production employees on shifts, ensuring safety, quality, and production targets.
• Perform daily safety audits and ensure HACCP/USDA compliance.
• Track yields, efficiencies, and variances to improve workflows and reduce costs.
• Oversee maintenance and setup of equipment and facilities to peak performance.
