Job summary

1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC is seeking a Supervisor to lead hourly teams and coordinate staffing across lines to ensure safe, high-quality, and on-time performance. The role emphasizes floor presence, issue resolution, and administrative oversight.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, 2–3 years in a supervisory role, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to manage timecards and safety protocols in a production/warehouse setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant work experience preferred.
• 2–3 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership ability with feedback and performance management.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers and operational systems.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 30 pounds.
• Comfortable in production/warehouse environment with noise and temp variations.
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime as required.
• Safety-sensitive role requiring pre-employment and ongoing drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Owns daily staffing within assigned room/area and allocates labor to maintain flow.
• Directs Crew Leaders and Team Leaders; ensures standard work is followed and issues are escalated.
• Maintains strong floor presence and actively manages bottlenecks, WIP, and efficiency.
• Leads first-level incident response and supports root-cause investigation.
• Conducts performance coaching and contributes to PDR inputs.
• Documents actions and coordinates with HR for corrective actions.
• Ensures safety, food safety/SQF, and sanitation requirements are met.
• Verifies timecards and supports labor deployment decisions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
