Job summary

Daikin Group in Texas is seeking a Production Engineer 2 to drive continuous improvement of HVAC manufacturing processes, optimize fabrication and assembly, and lead cost-reduction initiatives.

You will mentor technicians, execute capital projects, coordinate cross-functional teams and implement engineering changes to improve quality, efficiency and uptime.

A bachelor’s degree in engineering and 3–5 years in production/manufacturing engineering are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing engineering theory and practices.
• Experience with DOE, 8D, FMEA and Kaizen activities.
• Experience with fabrication/assembly processes and HVAC equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement goals and action plans.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and quality improvements.
• Support DOE, 8D, FMEA and Kaizen initiatives.
• Collaborate with Design Engineers on machinery and tooling for HVAC products.
• Provide manufacturing technical support to project teams.
• Document designs with cost analyses and change requests.
• Coach technicians and junior engineers on core skills.
• Manage cross-functional project launches and timelines.
