Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial technology, industrial manufacturing engineering, or equivalent.
• 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Sheet metal fabrication and assembly using modern processes.

Responsibilities

• Participate in continuous improvement and cost reductions with lean manufacturing leadership.
• Analyze work samples to develop labor standards, production times, staffing, and costs for management decisions.
• Apply lean principles to optimize workflow, participate in kaizen events, and improve safety and ergonomics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop work instructions, training checklists, and safety procedures.
• Support NPI with PFMEA, process flow changes, and tool/fixture designs; provide equipment specs and purchases.
• Assess capital equipment investments, prepare funding requests, and oversee project completion.
• Lead job skill knowledge evaluations for hourly personnel and utilize PDCA, 5S, and other lean tools.
