Job summary

Daikin Group in Texas seeks an experienced HVAC Design Engineer to create, revise, and sustain residential/commercial product designs. You will analyze designs with CFD, DFSS/DFMEA, and tolerance methods, and collaborate on launches with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include managing BOMs, cost analyses, ECRs, and supporting manufacturing during launches while driving continuous improvement and quality enhancement.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of mechanical design theory and practice.
• Experience with DFSS, DFMEA, tolerance analysis and value engineering.
• Familiarity with CAD systems and engineering change processes.
• Knowledge of HVAC specifications and standards (preferred).
• Proficiency with MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative and high integrity work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Create, revise, and sustain HVAC product designs.
• Develop and manage project schedules for new and existing designs.
• Analyze designs with tolerance, thermodynamics, FEA, and CFD analyses.
• Document designs by preparing BOMs, cost analyses, drawings, and ECNs.
• Assist in redesigning components to improve long-term quality, efficiency, and cost.
• Develop engineering solutions via root cause analysis.
