Job summary

Daikin Applied, the world’s largest HVAC company, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II in Staunton, VA, in-office. You will lead continuous improvement projects, analyze labor utilization, and apply lean principles to optimize processes.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop production workflows, provide cost estimates, and support NPI, safety, and ergonomics. The role offers growth opportunities in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in industrial tech/manufacturing engineering.
• 2-4 years of experience.
• Sheet metal fabrication and assembly using state-of-art manufacturing processes.
• SolidWorks, AutoCAD 2D, MS Office, MS Project, Minitab (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Participate in continuous improvement and cost reductions with manufacturing engineering expertise as a team member or leader.
• Analyze work samples to develop labor standards and estimate production times and staffing costs.
• Apply lean principles to optimize equipment and workspace and lead kaizen events as needed.
• Suggest methods for safety, quality, and worker effectiveness while controlling costs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop work instructions, safety procedures, and ergonomic improvements.
