Cherokee Nation Entertainment's Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa is hiring a Production Cook for the Food Court, joining a fast-paced culinary team focused on quality, flavor, and presentation.

You'll master menu items through precise recipes, portion control, and efficient station operations while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and exceptional guest service in a vibrant hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of culinary arts and nutrition; ability to prepare and cook foods that look and taste appealing.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitary handling of food and beverages.
• Strong listening and communication skills to gather, clarify and apply information from the team.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food for the assigned venue.
• Adheres to standards for preparation, portioning, cooking, and presentation of all menu items.
• Ensures excellent quality and proper presentation of food.
• Controls portions and timeliness according to recipes.
• Prepares daily quantities per Chef’s instructions to minimize waste.
• Maintains proper storage and cleanliness of all food products and areas.
• Upholds kitchen cleanliness, equipment and tool safety.
• Maintains a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Promotes a positive, fun, and safe kitchen atmosphere.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

As a Production Cook for the Food Court at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, you are the heartbeat of our culinary team, ensuring every dish hits a high note of quality, flavor, and presentation. You will master the menu by preparing high-quality items with strict adherence to recipes and portion control, all while maintaining the rhythm of a fast-paced kitchen through station cleanliness and efficient inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food for the assigned venue.
• Adheres to standards for preparation, portioning, cooking and presentation of all menu items.
• Ensures excellent quality of food and proper presentation.
• Ensures proper portion control, adherence to recipes and timeliness of all food products.
• Ensures daily quantities of required foods are prepared per Chef’s instructions.
• Ensures all product is stored and maintained properly, in all coolers, holding cabinets and other areas to prevent waste and spoilage.
• Upholds cleanliness standards for kitchen operations, equipment and tools.
• Maintains a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Promotes the Big Six and encourages a Fun, Friendly, Quick, Comfortable, Clean and Safe Environment.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of culinary arts, characteristics of multiple cuisines, food science and nutrition; ability to prepare and cook foods and meals that are pleasing to the palate and the eye.
• Knowledge of effective listening issues and techniques; ability to gather, clarify and apply information transmitted verbally, while exhibiting a genuine interest toward the speaker.
• Knowledge of food safety and foodborne illness; ability to develop, implement and carry out sanitary and safe food and beverage handling practices.
• Work will require working varied shifts including, weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Work requires lifting objects up to 50lbs.
