Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Production Control Clerk to manage clerical tasks in production control, coordinate work orders, and facilitate movement of goods between Production and Flight Team. This role emphasizes accuracy in MRP, part shortage management, and timely communication with planners.

The candidate will support material repair orders, prioritize rework, and ensure a clean, safe work environment while complying with ITAR requirements. Training travel is possible as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a production environment.
• Hands-on experience with MRP systems, material planning and the generation and maintenance of work orders.
• Knowledge of computerized MRP systems is critical.
• High School diploma or GED Equivalent required.
• APICS training and/or certification is desirable, especially as it pertains to inventory control and material planning.

Responsibilities

• Execute material repair orders to move product from SMRB to the repair work cell.
• Coordinate and alleviate identified work order part shortages with Purchasing, Quality and Production Planners.
• Update and prioritize the rework board in the production area, coordinating with production planners.
• Monitor and expedite identified shortage parts in inspection through quality, stockroom and to work orders waiting for parts.
• Move urgent product through cells or stockroom with production leads.
• Issue items to work orders in sell-off area in a timely manner.
• Notify planners of rejected or shortage parts or rejected production builds.
