Job summary

Timken is seeking a Production Control Clerk to manage material requirements and schedule priorities in a manufacturing setting. You will collaborate with production supervisors to ensure on-time execution of plans and accurate data handling.

Responsibilities include generating production orders, maintaining inventory records and supporting cycle counts, with emphasis on accuracy and compliance with materials management processes. Strong communication and ERP (SAP) skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Review production and shipment schedules to determine material needs and priorities with production supervisors.
• Compile documents on costs, inventory consumption and production issues.
• Generate production orders and record data related to production, materials and consumption.
• Examine production documents for accuracy and conformance to materials management processes.
• Compile information for status reports on materials used and inventories.
• Arrange delivery and distribution of components to meet schedules.
• Support inventory cycle counting to identify root causes of discrepancies.
• Record, organize and maintain production and inventory documentation.
• Perform other duties to support plant operations.
