Job summary

Timken seeks an Inventory & Materials Specialist to provide materials, warehouse, and inventory management services for the Business Unit. You will ensure materials are available per plan, maintain reports and records, and manage full life cycle of materials purchased or manufactured by Timken.

Key duties include supporting inventory transactions, leading physical counts, expediting shortages, and driving lean Kanban practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with inventory transactions and physical inventory processes.
• Lean initiatives and Kanban experience preferred.
• Proficient with SAP modules and Microsoft Excel (including macros).
• Strong time management and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supports operations on inventory transactions and reports.
• Leads physical inventory processes.
• Supports Kanban and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Expedites shortages and conducts inventory audits.
• Manages inter-factory shipments and pick verification.
• Performs root-cause analysis of material availability at point of use.
• Plans new product material requirements and execution.
• Collaborates with planning, supply management, and manufacturing engineering.
