Job summary

Timken is seeking an experienced Production Scheduler/Planner in Dayton, OH to create and maintain production plans, monitor stock levels, and optimize warehouse productivity. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or related field preferred.
• SAP experience required.
• 3+ years of production scheduling experience.
• Proven experience as a warehouse scheduler or similar role.
• Knowledge of safety and quality standards for warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Create and monitor an official production plan using various software and programs to ensure on-time delivery.
• Work with the Production Supervisor and warehouse team to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for the warehouse are conducive to the production plan.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing team to ensure optimal stock levels.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize planning and manage lead times.
• Monitor and review inventory levels, shipments, and schedules.
• Have awareness of warehouse activities to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, purchasing team, and transportation team to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide regular reports and updates on production planning including concerns and successes.
