Job summary

Sonoco in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a Production Worker to operate in the tube and core division. You will report to the shift supervisor and support a fast-paced, safe production environment with emphasis on attendance and teamwork.

Qualified candidates will have at least 1 year in a manufacturing/warehouse setting, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a willingness to work overtime. A forklift certification and strong eye for defects are a plus.

• Must be able to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other departments and teams.
• Troubleshoot problems on the line.
• Make incremental process adjustments and monitor quality.
• Learn to set up new jobs and train on other lines.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Perform duties as designated by supervisor/manager.
• Support Sonoco's quality and safety policies.
