Job summary

Sonoco is seeking a Production Worker in Irving, TX to join our tube and core division. You will contribute to fast-paced manufacturing, ensuring quality while maintaining safety and efficiency.

The role involves first and third shift options, with overtime potential, and requires readiness to lift up to 50 lbs and operate a forklift as needed. You will collaborate with multiple teams, learn setup of new jobs, and support continuous improvement initiatives, all while upholding Sonoco’s standards

Qualifications

• One year minimum in a manufacturing/warehouse setting.
• Must have a 'get it done' attitude and urgency to resolve tasks.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Forklift certification and safe operation experience required.
• Able to read and understand manufacturing instructions and work across multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with other departments and teams.
• Troubleshoot problems and adapt to changing needs on the line.
• Make incremental process adjustments and monitor product quality.
• Learn to set up new jobs and train on other lines and departments.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Perform duties assigned by supervisor/manager.
• Support Sonoco’s quality and safety policies in all tasks.
• Assist other departments as needed.
