Job summary

Spring Valley’s Hatfield, MA plant is seeking Production Associates for the second shift (4:00 pm–12:30 am, Monday–Friday). Responsibilities include stacking 50lb bags and wrapping pallets, mixing/blending material for fertilizer and ice melter, and running/monitoring production equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.

Operate a forklift and a front end loader, with general area cleanup and support for inventory tasks.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Excellent attendance is critical to team performance.
• Strong communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced production environment.
• Experience and comfort operating a forklift; stacking pallets 2-3 high is a plus.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs reliably.
• Willingness to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Stack 50lb bags on pallets and wrap for shipping.
• Mix and blend material for fertilizer and ice melter.
• Run and monitor machines to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Operate forklift to move pallets between buildings.
• Operate a front end loader to transport bulk materials.
• General cleanup of work areas and inventory-related tasks.
• Support miscellaneous projects as needed (inventory, grounds keeping, etc).

Spring Valley began on a small family farm in Jackson, WI in 1961 and has grown into a leading manufacturer of fertilizers and ice melter products. From our 8 blending locations and multiple shipping locations, we serve a wide variety of customer markets including distributors, co-ops, and retailers throughout the United States and internationally. Our Hatfield, MA plant is eagerly seeking Production Associates to join our team!

Second shift is 4:00 pm to 12:30 am Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities Include

• Stacking 50lb bags on pallets & wrapping pallets for shipping
• Mixing/blending material for fertilizer and ice melter
• Running and monitoring machines to ensure safety and efficiency
• Operating a forklift to move pallets between buildings.
• Operating a front end loader to transport bulk materials
• General cleanup of work areas
• Miscellaneous projects as needed (inventory, grounds keeping, etc)

Pay & Perks

• $18.00-$20.00+ per hour starting pay based on experience.

Requirements

• Previous experience and comfortability in forklift operation, including stacking pallets 2-3 high is a plus!
• Ability to follow written & verbal instructions
• Ability to work 1st Shift (6:00am-2:30pm Monday-Friday)

• The ability to keep accurate records and follow procedures

• Reliable transportation to get to and from work
