Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Production Associate 2 to operate on the IG line, label, inspect, and move carts through production. The role offers a 2nd shift from 3:45 pm to 12:15 am with a base pay of $17.75 per hour and requires physical stamina for lifting and continual standing.

Responsibilities include labeling, quality checks, ordering repairs via the scanner, and communicating issues to leadership and maintenance. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and stand for the duration of the shift.
• Basic computer knowledge; ordering repairs requires the use of scanner and PC.
• Organized and detail oriented; labels must be in sequence with cart paperwork.
• Basic reading and writing in English; quality checks must be documented.
• Ability to locate minor quality defects in glass, grids and spacers.
• Must cross-train and rotate on various workstations on the line.
• Ability to comprehend written work instructions, standard work and quality documents.
• 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

JOB DETAILS

Base Pay: $17.75 per hour

2nd Shift: 3:45 pm - 12:15 am

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The QC Checker/Labeler is responsible for the fabrication and production of Insulated Glass (IG) units on the Intercept Glass Lines. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands.

• Apply labels to the corresponding glass units and paperwork to batch carts
• Perform quality checks accurately
• Order repair units using the scanning system
• Consistently hold cycle time of the line
• Movement of carts in and out of production work area
• Communicate quality issues observed either upstream or downstream of their position
• Communicate mechanical issues with the machines to leadership or maintenance staff

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and stand for duration of entire shift.
• Must have basic computer knowledge. Ordering repairs requires the use of scanner and PC.
• Ability to work in an organized and detailed fashion. Labels must be in sequence and on correct units along with cart paperwork.
• Basic reading and writing in English. Quality checks must be filled out completely, Quality instruments require understanding how to measure; such as measuring tape, caliper, machine display readings, Go/No-Go gauge, etc.
• Ability to locate minor quality defects in glass, grids and spacers
• Must cross-train and rotate on various workstations within line/complex.
• Ability to comprehend written work instructions, standard work and quality documents
• Ability to move carts of glass in and out of production areas
• 1 - 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
