Job summary

Slalom in Dallas is seeking an AI Engineer to design, build, deploy, and support production-grade AI systems for clients, including LLM-powered apps and data pipelines. You will contribute to architectural decisions, own delivery workstreams, and communicate scope, risks, and value to stakeholders.

You will work with AWS/Azure/GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, and responsible AI practices, mentoring teams and delivering business outcomes while staying current with AI engineering patterns.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience designing and building data, AI, software, or machine learning solutions.
• Hands-on software development in Python with modern practices.
• Experience deploying AI/ML solutions beyond notebooks.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-enabled applications and systems, including LLM-powered applications, retrieval-augmented generation solutions, agentic workflows, APIs, data pipelines, and cloud-native services.
• Own implementation workstreams from design through delivery, including backlog refinement, technical design, coding, testing, integration, deployment, documentation, and client handoff.
• Work hands-on with major hyperscaler platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and enterprise data platforms (Databricks or Snowflake).
• Collaborate with clients to translate business needs into deployable AI solutions and ensure responsible AI practices.
