Job summary

Salesforce is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers to design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions directly inside enterprise customer environments. You will work in a delivery team with a Deployment Strategist to drive AI strategy, adoption, and measurable business impact.

Expect hands-on work across full-stack deployment, data pipelines, and real production systems, with travel ~25% to partner with customers and co-build solutions that ship from day one.

Qualifications

• 3+ years (6-10 years for Senior levels) of software engineering or technical delivery experience.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience is required.
• Fluent in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
• Hands-on with LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Deep understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns.
• Ability to engage with sales teams and customer architects.
• Ship quality code and evaluate AI outputs with engineering rigor.
• Willingness to travel ~25% for on-site customer work.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI agents and experiences that take real actions for real organizations.
• Design agent intelligence: prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and integrations.
• Own technical components end-to-end from architecture to production.
• Build and integrate data pipelines on Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks.
• Maintain agent performance dashboards and KPI reporting.
• Contribute to proofs-of-concept and MVPs for rapid deployment.
• Co-build with customers and partners, sharing enablement as you go.
• Identify platform gaps and provide product feedback to engineers.
• Collaborate with Deployment Strategist to translate challenges into solutions.
