Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Product Support Engineer to join the Dive-XL team, supporting the Extra Large Autonomous Undersea Vehicles fleet. You will provide on-call technical guidance, perform investigations, and drive engineering changes across the fleet.

The role requires deep engineering discipline with breadth to triage across software, electrical, mechanical, and systems domains, plus the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in software, electrical, mechanical, or systems engineering on complex systems.
• Ability to independently root cause difficult, ambiguous faults from limited or conflicting data.
• Hands-on experience with real hardware in field, integration, or maintenance environments.
• Sound engineering judgment under time pressure and assess degraded operation.
• Strong coordination and communication; ability to own issues and drive to resolution.
• Experience with configuration management and engineering change processes.
• Experience with robotic and/or autonomous systems in maritime environments is advantageous.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-call engineering support to teams operating and maintaining fielded AUVs, including outside business hours.
• Identify what happened from logs, telemetry, and maintenance history; define workarounds.
• Plan and lead root cause investigations to defensible conclusions.
• Chair MRB dispositions and manage fleet-wide system limitations.
• Translate fleet data into engineering recommendations and drive changes.
• Develop monitoring, alerting, and diagnostic tooling and runbooks.
