Job summary

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a Maritime Technical Operations Engineer to deploy globally with the Dive-XL Field Operations team, supporting autonomous underwater vehicle platforms in demanding conditions. You will troubleshoot, repair, and operate AUVs in the field and serve as a product expert in hands-on and remote support scenarios.

The role requires 5+ years of at-sea robotics experience, Linux proficiency, strong communication, and willingness to travel 50-75%

Qualifications

5+ years operating at-sea robotic systems, ideally in customer support.
Hands-on field operations, manufacturing, or test experience.
Strong problem solving at hardware/software/network interface.
Proficient with AUV maintenance, operations, troubleshooting, and repair.
Comfortable with Linux, command line interfaces, and software debugging.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and travel 50-75% of the time, including offshore.
Active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

Deploy globally to support customer-fielded AUV operations from various vessels.
Lead hands-on troubleshooting, repair, operation, and maintenance of AUVs in the field.
Serve as product expert in hands-on and remote support scenarios.
Drive technical problems to clarity at hardware/software/network interfaces.
Liaise between customers, engineering, and operations for issue resolution.
Support test plan creation/review during at-sea testing with engineering.
Provide feedback to product team to mature systems.
