Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Product Support Engineer for the Dive-XL team to support and maintain its underwater autonomous vehicles. You will handle on-call technical guidance, triage incidents, and lead root cause analyses to determine actionable fixes.

You will drive engineering changes across the fleet and contribute to reliability improvements through diagnostics, tooling, and documentation. The role requires hands-on hardware experience, strong engineering judgment, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in software, electrical, mechanical, mechatronic or systems engineering on complex systems
• Ability to independently root cause difficult, ambiguous faults from limited or conflicting data
• Hands-on experience with real hardware in operational environments
• Sound engineering judgment under time pressure
• Strong coordination and communication, able to own an issue and drive it to resolution
• Experience with configuration management and engineering change processes
• Experience with robotic and/or autonomous systems in a maritime environment is advantageous
• Commitment to a positive, inclusive, collaborative culture
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Provide on-call engineering support to the Dive-XL teams operating and maintaining fielded autonomous vessels, including outside business hours on a rotating roster
• Root cause investigations by examining logs, telemetry, configuration and maintenance history; define workarounds to restore capability
• Plan and lead root cause investigations to defensible conclusions and determine if issues are design, production, maintenance, or operation induced
• Chair Material Review Board dispositions and manage fleet-wide system limitations
• Translate fleet data into engineering recommendations and drive changes through design teams
• Develop monitoring, alerting and diagnostic tooling and associated runbooks and knowledge bases
• Distribute service bulletins and track incorporation across the fleet
• Create operations, troubleshooting, incident response and maintenance publications
• Govern the as-maintained configuration and SBOM
