Job summary

US Foods in Austin, TX is seeking a Product Sales Support Administrator to act as the central contact for internal sales inquiries regarding products, specs, and scheduling. You will resolve questions via phone, email or text, escalate when needed, and become proficient with Prism, SmartDock, and PIM/EPS to respond quickly.

Role involves executing sample policies, maintaining up-to-date product knowledge, and coordinating with brokers and vendors to address inquiries.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent distribution or food service supply chain experience.
• Minimum 2 years of purchasing, merchandising, sales or customer service experience.
• PRISM experience preferred; strong MS Office skills required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as central contact for internal sales inquiries related to product, specs, availability, scheduling, and substitutions.
• Answer external customer and internal sales questions by phone, email or text; escalate when needed.
• Become subject matter expert in US Foods systems and tools to respond quickly.
• Execute sample policy to obtain samples for customers and Territory Managers.
• Maintain knowledge on product availability, delivery schedule, and substitutions.
• Prioritize requests based on urgency and customer status.
• Develop broker and vendor contacts to address and follow up on inquiries.
• Develop product category knowledge to suggest substitutes when necessary.
