Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an experienced Product Owner to join the Cat Digital Direct to Customer team. You will help shape the future of how customers interact with VisionLink subscriptions, guiding digital experiences across the fleet lifecycle.

You will partner with business, product, and engineering teams, understand user needs, and translate them into prioritized backlogs and features while validating with user and business feedback along the way.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience in digital product management, user experience, user research, digital strategy, or related function.
• Superb communication, presentation, storytelling, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work with multiple teams including business partners, cross-product portfolio, development and field-facing arms.
• Experience working in an Agile environment with multiple priorities.
• Experience using experience mapping techniques (user story mapping, OOUX, assumption mapping, etc.).
• Professional experience with heavy equipment technology solutions, business applications, and/or fleet management.

Responsibilities

• Maximize the value of the product and the work of the Development Team with engineering on backlog prioritization.
• Provide vision, domain knowledge, and direction aligned with Cat’s goals and customer value.
• Take ownership for the success and quality of the product.
• Lead cross-product initiatives with roadmap definition and epic/feature elaboration.
• Coordinate roadmaps and experiences across dependent product teams.
• Ensure deep understanding of users and their processes.
• Frame and plan opportunities with impact, assumptions, and risks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate ideas into clear requirements and experiences.
• Define major experience elements across functions/domains.
