Job summary

American Red Cross is seeking a Product Owner for the DataHub team, operating remotely from anywhere in the United States with an East Coast schedule. You will drive data modernization, governance, and reporting capabilities across Biomedical, HR, Finance, and more, serving as the customer voice to maximize business value.

The role requires 7+ years in product ownership/management, strong Agile, Jira, Confluence experience, and SAFe familiarity. Travel ~10% domestically may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of Product Owner or Product Management experience leading discovery, prioritization, roadmaps, and delivery in Agile environments.
• 4-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies, Jira, and Confluence.
• Experience in SAFe environments including PI Planning, backlog prioritization, and cross-team collaboration; SAFe cert preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Product Owner for DataHub, translating product strategy into prioritized team objectives with stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog with clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery objectives.
• Lead backlog refinement and participate in iteration planning, PI Planning, sprint reviews, and system demos to align priorities and value.
• Collaborate with data governance, architecture, security, and engineering to incorporate data quality, metadata, lineage, access, privacy, and stewardship requirements.
• Define acceptance criteria, quality expectations, and release readiness with delivery teams.
• Leverage stakeholder feedback and metrics to drive continuous product improvement and communicate strategy and progress to stakeholders.
• Balance near-term value with long-term scalability and evolution of the DataHub platform and data strategy.
