Job description

Senior Product Owner (Contract) – Loyalty Program Implementation

Must live in the Atlanta area and open to going to Midtown 3 days a week

3rd Party Candidates will NOT be considered!

Our client is seeking a Contract Senior Product Owner to lead the end‑to‑end implementation of a new, points‑based loyalty program in partnership with a third‑party Loyalty Vendor. In this role you will define and prioritize all loyalty‑related initiatives, guide seamless integrations with internal and external systems, and serve as the primary bridge between marketing, product, IT, business stakeholders, and the Loyalty Vendor. You will drive the program’s successful launch, the migration of existing rewards, and continuous optimization.

What You Will Do
  • Lead the scope, requirements, and delivery of our client’s first loyalty program, partnering closely with internal stakeholders and the external loyalty platform provider
  • Own requirements gathering, backlog prioritization, and sprint planning across all phases of the program
  • Collaborate with the technical project manager and engineering lead to coordinate integrations with third‑party platforms and internal systems
  • Define roles, responsibilities, and deliverables across internal and external teams to ensure clear accountability
  • Document program design elements, including earning logic, tiers, expiration rules, and bonus structures, with flexibility for future enhancements
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate a product roadmap for the loyalty program, highlighting progress, risks, and key decisions
  • Conduct product demonstrations for business stakeholders, support teams, and delivery partners
  • Build strong relationships with cross‑functional partners including Marketing, Product, IT, Customer Service, Analytics, and Finance, as well as external integration partners
  • Facilitate recurring stakeholder meetings to gather requirements, align priorities, share updates, and resolve issues
  • Track and document decisions, requirements, and action items throughout the project lifecycle
The Experience You Will Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in eCommerce, project management, IT, business administration, or related field
  • 2+ years as a Product Owner delivering eCommerce or digital product launches, ideally within loyalty or rewards programs
  • Demonstrated success implementing loyalty programs or customer engagement platforms
  • Strong understanding of marketing fundamentals, customer segmentation, campaign management, and analytics
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word)
  • Hands‑on experience working within Agile methodologies as a Product Owner on cross‑functional teams
  • Background in technical integrations involving third‑party platforms
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Experience with product roadmapping and backlog tools (Jira/Confluence)
  • Product Management and Scrum certifications preferred
What Our Client Stands For
  • Acting with intensity, urgency, and a passion for supporting customers and driving business growth
  • Holding themselves accountable, approaching challenges with a positive, solutions‑oriented mindset, and following through on commitments
  • Delivering as one team rooted in integrity, respect, trust, transparency, and collaboration
  • Embracing diversity and authenticity as competitive advantages
  • Exhibiting curiosity and creativity in their work
