Job description

We've partnered with a fast-growing B2B technology startup to hire their first dedicated Product Marketing Manager. This is an early, high-ownership role for someone who wants to shape how a rapidly scaling product is positioned in the market, work closely with Product and Sales, and build the messaging, content, and enablement foundation that supports the company's next stage of growth.

Note: This role is only open to candidates based in San Francisco as it's in-office 5x/wk

The Role:
  • Develop and maintain the company's messaging and positioning framework, keeping it sharp as the product and market evolve
  • Collaborate with Product on feature launches - from naming and positioning through to the assets that drive adoption
  • Build the sales enablement toolkit - battle cards, talk tracks, objection handling, and presentation decks that help the revenue team win
  • Produce high-quality content that supports demand and moves deals - case studies, comparison pages, one-pagers, and campaign materials
  • Develop channel-ready materials that MSPs can use to sell the product to their own client base
  • Mine customer conversations, call recordings, and competitive intelligence to continuously sharpen messaging
  • Define and build out the product marketing function as the company scales
They're Looking For:
  • 3-6+ years of B2B product marketing experience, with a preference for candidates who have marketed to a technical buyer
  • Proven end-to-end ownership of messaging and positioning - not just contributing to it
  • Demonstrated ability to build sales enablement assets a quota-carrying team actually uses
  • Experience working directly with Product and Engineering to bring technical products to market
  • Strong writing and editorial instincts - clean, precise copy with a high bar
  • Comfortable building from zero in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment
  • Evidence-driven - pulls signal from the field and makes decisions without waiting for perfect information
Nice to Have:
  • Background in cybersecurity, identity security, or technical infrastructure
  • Familiarity with channel or partner-led GTM motions (MSPs, resellers, distributors)
  • Experience standing up or formalizing a PMM function from scratch
