Job summary

Sourcebooks seeks a Product Manager, Awareness Platform to own our mobile and web experiences from discovery through delivery and ongoing optimization. This exempt role blends hands-on product ownership with customer advocacy, roadmap leadership, UX improvement, analytics, QA, and close collaboration with development and cross-functional teams.

Regular hands-on testing of mobile and web experiences is expected, including time-sensitive releases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product management with mobile/web ownership.
• Experience defining, prioritizing, testing and releasing product improvements with software teams.
• Strong customer and UX orientation with analytical judgment.
• Technical fluency across mobile/web lifecycles and subscriptions.
• Excellent project management and cross-functional communication.
• Entrepreneurial, curious, collaborative mindset and reader-focused interest.

Responsibilities

• Own the user experience, platform roadmap, backlog, and priorities across web and mobile instances.
• Translate customer feedback, reviews, behavior, and analytics into improvements.
• Partner with development from discovery through release; write clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Improve onboarding, navigation, content discovery, subscriptions, engagement, retention, and UX/UI.
• Own product QA, release readiness, push and messaging functionality, and post-launch optimization.
• Manage external development partners, vendors, SOWs/RFPs, and defined growth initiatives.
• Bring reader motivations and discovery habits to product decisions, helping customers find content and connections that keep them coming back.
