Job summary

Sourcebooks is seeking a Product Manager for the Awareness Platform to own our mobile and web experiences from discovery through delivery and optimization. This role blends hands-on product ownership with customer advocacy, roadmap leadership, UX improvement, and strong partnerships with development and cross-functional teams.

The position requires regular hands-on use and testing of mobile and web experiences, plus availability for time-sensitive releases or customer-impacting issues.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product management, digital product management, or a closely related role with meaningful mobile/web ownership.
• Strong customer and UX orientation, analytical judgment, prioritization, and product-management discipline.
• Technical fluency across mobile/web lifecycles, integrations, subscriptions, backend systems, and release processes.
• Excellent project management, QA, vendor management, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Experience with consumer subscription, membership, content/media, or direct-to-consumer digital products.

Responsibilities

• Own the user experience, platform roadmap, backlog, and priorities across web and mobile instances.
• Translate customer feedback, reviews, behavior, and analytics into improvements.
• Partner with development from discovery through release; improve onboarding, navigation, content discovery, subscriptions, engagement, retention, and UX/UI.
• Manage external development partners, vendors, SOWs/RFPs, and defined growth initiatives.
• Bring reader motivations and discovery habits to product decisions, helping customers find content and connections that keep them coming back.
• Roadmap decisions are grounded in customer needs, behavior, performance data, strategic priorities, and technical realities.
