Job summary

Sourcebooks seeks a Product Manager for the Awareness Platform to own mobile and web experiences from discovery through delivery and ongoing optimization. This role combines hands-on product ownership, customer advocacy, backlog leadership, UX improvements, analytics, QA, and partnerships with development and cross-functional teams.

The position requires regular hands-on use and testing of mobile and web experiences, with occasional time-sensitive releases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product management with mobile/web ownership.
• Experience defining, prioritizing, testing, and releasing improvements with software teams.
• Strong customer and UX orientation, analytical judgment, prioritization.
• Technical fluency across mobile/web lifecycles, integrations, subscriptions, backend systems, and release processes.
• Excellent project management, QA, vendor management, and cross-functional communication.
• Entrepreneurial, curious, collaborative mindset with drive to improve the product.
• Genuine interest in books and reader culture, including discovery, recommendations, and connections.

Responsibilities

• Own the user experience, platform roadmap, backlog, and priorities across web and mobile.
• Translate customer feedback and analytics into improvements.
• Partner with development from discovery through release; write clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Improve onboarding, navigation, content discovery, subscriptions, engagement, retention, UX/UI.
• Own QA, release readiness, push and messaging functionality, and post-launch optimization.
• Manage external development partners, vendors, SOWs/RFPs, and defined growth initiatives.
• Bring reader motivations to product decisions, helping customers find content and connections.
