Job summary

Customer.io is seeking a Product Manager to enhance how customers experience their first weeks with us, owning a defined slice of the self-serve journey and partnering with data and experiments to move it forward.

You will collaborate with PMs and squads to ensure the agent integrates smoothly across the platform, define activation metrics, and drive activation, retention, and monetization in a remote, async-first environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of product management experience in SaaS.
• Experience using or developing AI-powered tooling in your product workflow.
• A track record of improving activation or retention metrics.
• Strong analytical and experimentation skills — data-driven but comfortable with ambiguity.
• Experience collaborating across Product, Marketing, and CX.
• A clear communicator who simplifies complexity and drives alignment.
• Deep curiosity about what helps customers succeed.

Responsibilities

• Own the product experience of our agent for the AI-first marketer.
• Work with other PMs and squads to ensure the agent works well with the platform.
• Find and resolve friction points using data, experimentation, and customer insight.
• Define and track activation, retention, and monetization metrics.
• Partner with Marketing, CX, and Design to ensure success across touchpoints.
• Work with Engineering to scope and deliver improvements that produce customer value.
• Communicate priorities and progress clearly across teams and leadership.
