About The Role
The Product Manager owns a core product surface end-to-end - from shaping the strategy and roadmap to driving sprint-level execution with engineering. This is a hands on technical PM role: the person will work daily with engineers on API design, data models, and system tradeoffs, not just write tickets.
The role matters because the product operates in a competitive, fast moving space where roadmap decisions directly affect revenue. The PM will be the single point of accountability for shipping features that balance user needs, technical constraints, and business goals - with real ownership, not committee driven scoping.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the product roadmap for a key product area, translating company strategy into a prioritized backlog grounded in customer data, usage analytics (Amplitude/Mixpanel), and market research
- Write clear, technically precise product specs and user stories with acceptance criteria that engineering teams can execute without constant clarification
- Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and standups with engineering using Jira and Confluence; make scope and priority tradeoffs in real time
- Partner with engineering leads on technical design reviews, evaluating build vs buy decisions, API contracts, and system architecture implications
- Drive product launches end to end: coordinate with marketing, sales, and support on positioning, docs, and go live readiness
- Define and track success metrics (activation, retention, adoption, NPS); run structured post launch reviews and iterate based on results
- Conduct customer discovery calls and synthesize qualitative feedback into actionable roadmap decisions
What We Are Looking For
- 3-6 years of product management experience, including at least 2 years managing a technical product (SaaS, developer tools, platform, or infrastructure)
- Demonstrated ability to work directly with engineers on technical topics - comfortable discussing APIs, databases, and system architecture without a translator
- Proficiency with modern PM tooling: Jira, Confluence, Figma, Amplitude or Mixpanel, and SQL for basic data pulls
- Track record of shipping products or major features from discovery through launch, with measurable business impact
- Strong written communication - specs, PRDs, and strategy memos that are clear, concise, and decision oriented
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Bonus: MBA or formal product management training (e.g., Reforge); experience with data platform or B2B enterprise products; background as a technical founder or software engineer
