Job description

About The Role

The role owns strategy, roadmap, and execution for a core product area — defining what gets built, why it matters, and how success is measured. This is a hands‑on PM position in a B2B SaaS environment, sitting directly between engineering teams building APIs and data‑intensive platform features and the customers who depend on them daily.

The product operates in a technically demanding domain: multi‑tenant architecture, real‑time data processing, and enterprise‑grade reliability requirements. The role matters because the difference between a good roadmap and a great one here is measurable — in adoption, retention, and revenue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the product roadmap for a core platform area, translating company strategy into a prioritized, sequenced plan that engineering teams can execute against
  • Write crisp product requirements documents (PRDs) and specs with clear acceptance criteria, scoping work with engineers using data models, API contracts, and system architecture as inputs
  • Drive discovery and validation through customer interviews, usability testing, and competitive analysis — turning qualitative signal into prioritized backlog items
  • Define, instrument, and monitor product metrics (activation, retention, feature adoption) using tools like Amplitude, Mixpanel, or SQL‑based dashboards
  • Run sprint planning, backlog grooming, and launch coordination with engineering leads and designers in Agile environments (Jira, Linear)
  • Make build‑vs‑buy and tradeoff decisions in partnership with engineering, weighing technical constraints against market opportunity
  • Communicate progress, risks, and results to leadership and stakeholders through clear written updates and executive‑ready presentations
What We Are Looking For
  • 3–7 years of product management experience, including at least 2 years managing technical or platform products in a B2B SaaS environment
  • Demonstrated ability to write precise technical specs and communicate fluently with engineers about APIs, data schemas, and system tradeoffs
  • Strong analytical foundation: SQL proficiency and comfort defining metrics frameworks from scratch, not just reporting on existing ones
  • Track record of shipping products end‑to‑end — from 0‑to‑1 discovery through launch and post‑launch iteration
  • Experience working in Agile teams with modern tooling (Jira, Linear, Figma, Amplitude, Looker)
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (CS, engineering) or equivalent practical experience
  • Bonus: Experience with data platforms, developer tools, or API‑first products; MBA or formal product training (e.g., Reforge); technical background as an engineer or solutions architect prior to PM
