About The Role
The role owns product strategy and execution for a B2B data platform - translating customer problems and business goals into a prioritized roadmap that engineering teams can build against. You will sit at the intersection of engineering, design, and go‑to‑market, making the daily tradeoff calls between scope, sequencing, and technical feasibility that determine whether products ship on time and land with customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the product roadmap for a core platform surface, translating business objectives into a sequenced, engineering‑ready plan of releases and milestones
- Write clear product specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria in Jira/Linear; run backlog grooming and sprint planning with engineering leads
- Conduct customer discovery calls and synthesize feedback from sales, support, and analytics into prioritized requirements and feature briefs
- Define and track success metrics (activation, retention, feature adoption) using SQL, Amplitude, or Looker; make roadmap decisions backed by data
- Partner with engineering on technical tradeoffs - API design, data schema changes, infrastructure dependencies - to scope work realistically
- Coordinate launches end‑to‑end: beta programs, phased rollouts, documentation, and enablement for sales and customer success teams
- Run A/B tests and post‑launch reviews to validate shipped features and iterate based on measured impact
What We Are Looking For
- 3–6 years of product management experience, including at least 2 years working directly with engineering teams on technical products
- Demonstrated ability to write crisp specs and PRDs; comfort discussing APIs, data models, and system architecture with engineers
- Hands‑on analytical skills: SQL proficiency and experience with product analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel, or equivalent)
- Track record of shipping software products through full lifecycle - discovery, build, launch, and iteration
- Experience prioritizing under ambiguity and managing multiple workstreams across cross‑functional teams
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience in software or data‑driven products
- Bonus: experience with B2B SaaS or developer‑facing products, exposure to data infrastructure or platform APIs, formal agile/scrum certification
