Job summary

FastTek Global in Auburn Hills, MI, is seeking a Product Engineer Engine System Cooling to design, validate and release cooling components such as radiators, condensers and fans. You will apply CAE, DFMEA and DVP&R to meet performance and reliability goals.

You will lead early packaging, coordinate CAE, design, prototyping and testing, and collaborate with suppliers to ensure manufacturability, part maturity, and milestone achievement while supporting vehicle assembly and testing.

Qualifications

• Associate's or higher in Mechanical/Automotive engineering.
• Internship or hands-on experience in engineering or automotive environments.
• Understanding of mechanical systems and engineering principles.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Exposure to cooling/thermal systems or automotive components.
• Familiarity with DFMEA, DVP&R, GD&T, APQP.

Responsibilities

• Lead early packaging and development of cooling components to meet cooling functional objectives.
• Coordinate CAE, design, prototyping and testing and the documentation of those activities.
• Cooperate with supplier to ensure design for manufacturability and track supplier progress to ensure part maturity and creation milestones.
• Support vehicle assembly and vehicle testing and resolve any issues discovered with the components.
• Address quality concerns and potential cost reductions after vehicle launch.
