Job summary

Tata Technologies in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Product Engineer for Engine Cooling Systems to design, develop, validate, and release cooling components including radiators, fans, hoses, and valves.

This role requires collaboration across CAE, DFMEA, DVP&R processes, testing, and interaction with suppliers, manufacturing, and vehicle teams to ensure robust, cost-effective solutions throughout development and launch.

Qualifications

• Associate's/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
• Internship, co-op, academic project, or hands-on experience in engineering, manufacturing, automotive, or product development environments.
• Exposure to cooling systems, thermal systems, fluid systems, HVAC, or automotive components.
• Familiarity with DFMEA, DVP&R, GD&T, APQP, or other engineering development processes.
• Experience with testing, validation, or root cause analysis.
• Understanding of mechanical systems, components, and engineering principles.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to support design, testing, validation, and issue resolution activities.
• Participation in Formula SAE, Baja SAE, robotics, or other technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cooling components across vehicle programs.
• Lead early packaging to meet cooling objectives.
• Coordinate CAE, design, prototyping, testing, and documentation.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure manufacturability and track milestones.
• Support vehicle assembly and testing; resolve component issues.
• Address quality concerns and cost reduction after launch.
