Pro Staff in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Product Engineer to support the design, testing, validation, and release of engine cooling system components for advanced vehicle programs. This role is suitable for recent graduates or internships seeking hands-on automotive experience.

Responsibilities include designing and validating cooling modules, radiators, fans, and hoses; coordinating reviews, prototyping, testing, and documentation; and collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Internship, co‑op, academic project, or hands‑on engineering experience.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with MS Office.

• Assist with cooling modules, radiators, condensers, electric fans, pumps, valves, heaters, hoses, and tubing assemblies.
• Coordinate engineering activities including design reviews, prototyping, testing, and documentation.
• Work with suppliers to ensure product quality, manufacturability, and project milestones are met.
• Support vehicle builds, testing activities, and issue resolution.
• Participate in root cause analysis, quality improvements, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Occasional travel to manufacturing facilities and supplier locations.

Product Engineer - Engine Cooling Systems

Location: Auburn Hills, MI
Pay Rate: $35.01/hour

We are seeking a Product Engineer to support the design, testing, validation, and release of engine cooling system components for advanced vehicle programs. This is an excellent opportunity for recent engineering graduates or candidates with internship, co-op, or hands-on engineering experience.

Job Duties

• Support the design, development, validation, and launch of vehicle cooling system components
• Assist with cooling modules, radiators, condensers, electric fans, pumps, valves, heaters, hoses, and tubing assemblies
• Coordinate engineering activities including design reviews, prototyping, testing, and documentation
• Work with suppliers to ensure product quality, manufacturability, and project milestones are met
• Support vehicle builds, testing activities, and issue resolution
• Participate in root cause analysis, quality improvements, and cost reduction initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams
• Occasional travel to manufacturing facilities and supplier locations

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with testing, validation, or root cause analysis
• Familiarity with DFMEA, DVP&R, GD&T, APQP, or similar engineering processes
• Participation in Formula SAE, Baja SAE, robotics, or other technical projects
